Automotive Safety, Insurance, Liability & Community Conduct Policy
Version 2.0 — October 2026
Applies to: Modified Mafia, Skyline Society, Built2Slide and applicable Lucid Instinct automotive activities, affiliated communities, websites, events and promotions.
1. Our Commitment
Our communities exist to celebrate genuine automotive culture, vehicle modification, motorsport, creativity and the people who bring these communities together.
We support responsible car ownership, respectful automotive gatherings, legitimate motorsport and safe driving experiences.
We do not organise, encourage, promote, endorse or condone illegal street racing, hooning, unlawful burnouts, dangerous driving, illegal street takeovers, reckless riding or other unlawful vehicle activities.
We believe automotive communities should be places where enthusiasts, families, spectators, businesses and local residents can feel welcome and respected.
Respect the cars. Respect the community. Save it for the track.
2. Illegal Street Racing, Hooning & Dangerous Driving
We do not support:
- Illegal street racing or speed contests.
- Unlawful burnouts, drifting, skids or donuts.
- Dangerous or reckless driving.
- Encouraging or pressuring drivers to perform illegal stunts.
- Unlawful use of public roads for motorsport activities.
- Organising or advertising unlawful driving activities through our platforms.
- Behaviour that endangers drivers, pedestrians, passengers, spectators or the public.
All drivers must comply with applicable road rules, licensing requirements, registration requirements and vehicle regulations.
We encourage enthusiasts to enjoy motorsport at appropriately authorised tracks, venues and events with suitable safety arrangements.
3. Illegal Street Takeovers & Sideshows
We have zero tolerance for illegal street takeovers, intersection takeovers, sideshows or similar unlawful activities involving dangerous driving.
Our communities do not organise, support, endorse or associate themselves with these activities.
Prohibited conduct includes:
- Blocking roads, intersections or highways for stunts.
- Dangerous burnouts or drifting within uncontrolled crowds.
- Interfering with public traffic or emergency vehicles.
- Intimidating members of the public.
- Deliberate property damage.
- Encouraging crowds to surround moving vehicles.
- Using our branding or platforms to promote unlawful takeovers.
Legitimate car meets should not be confused with illegal street takeovers.
We stand for car culture, not chaos.
4. E-Bikes, Electric Dirt Bikes & Personal Mobility Vehicles
Our automotive gatherings primarily cater to cars and other vehicles expressly approved by organisers.
E-bikes, electric dirt bikes, motorised scooters and similar vehicles are not automatically eligible to participate as display vehicles.
Unless expressly approved, these vehicles must not be ridden, demonstrated or operated within designated event areas.
We do not condone illegal street riding, dangerous wheelies, reckless stunts or unlawful use of high-powered electric vehicles.
Responsible ownership and lawful use of e-bikes are not grounds for exclusion from our communities.
Spectators are welcome subject to venue rules and appropriate conduct.
5. Community Events & Car Meets
All events are intended to provide safe, respectful environments for enthusiasts and the wider community.
The following are strictly prohibited unless part of a separately authorised motorsport activity conducted under applicable safety arrangements:
- Burnouts, drifting, skids or racing.
- Dangerous or aggressive driving.
- Reckless vehicle demonstrations.
- Excessive revving or deliberate noise disturbances.
- Illegal street takeovers.
- Reckless riding of e-bikes, scooters or motorcycles.
- Harassment, intimidation, violence or threatening conduct.
- Blocking emergency access or public roads.
- Deliberate property damage or littering.
- Encouraging other participants to breach event safety rules.
Attendees must drive and behave responsibly when arriving, attending and departing.
Organisers may refuse participation, request removal or exclude individuals from future events for breaches of these rules, subject to applicable law.
Serious incidents may be referred to police.
6. Vehicle Registration & Insurance
All drivers and vehicle owners participating in organised automotive events must comply with applicable registration, licensing and insurance laws.
Vehicles operated on public roads must have legally required registration and Compulsory Third Party (CTP) insurance, unless a lawful exemption applies.
For registered vehicle participants, event organisers may additionally require valid third-party property damage insurance as a condition of participation.
Comprehensive vehicle insurance is strongly recommended.
Owners and drivers are responsible for checking that their policies cover the intended use of their vehicles, including displays, private-property events, motorsport activities and other relevant circumstances.
CTP insurance does not cover damage to vehicles or other property.
Standard motor insurance may exclude racing, drifting, burnouts, track activities or other specified uses.
Participants must not assume that organiser insurance covers their own vehicles, personal belongings, modifications or activities.
Specific events may impose additional insurance requirements.
7. Acknowledgement of Risk
Automotive events and vehicle gatherings may involve inherent risks, including:
- Vehicle collisions and accidents.
- Personal injury, serious injury or death.
- Damage to vehicles and personal property.
- Vehicle movement and manoeuvring.
- Pedestrian and spectator hazards.
- Mechanical failure.
- Weather and environmental hazards.
- The actions or omissions of other participants, drivers, spectators or third parties.
Participants and spectators are expected to take reasonable care for their own safety and the safety of others.
Participation is voluntary, and participants must comply with event rules, applicable laws and lawful safety instructions.
8. Organiser Liability & Legal Responsibilities
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the relevant event organiser, its associated operating entities, brands, owners, officers, employees, volunteers and authorised representatives exclude liability for loss, damage, injury or other harm to the extent arising from circumstances for which liability may lawfully be excluded.
These circumstances may include the independent acts or omissions of participants or third parties, vehicle-related incidents, theft, property damage and breaches of event rules.
Each person remains legally responsible for their own conduct and for any loss, injury or damage for which they are liable under applicable law.
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any liability, duty or legal right that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
Additional participation agreements or legally reviewed waivers may apply to specific activities and events.
9. Police Cooperation & Community Relations
We value respectful relationships between automotive enthusiasts, police, councils, local businesses, venue operators and surrounding communities.
Modified Mafia has a history of proactively communicating with local police before organised meets and making clear that burnouts, skids and dangerous behaviour are not acceptable.
We intend to maintain this standard across affiliated communities.
Where appropriate, organisers will:
- Contact relevant police and authorities before events.
- Obtain necessary venue permissions and approvals.
- Arrange appropriate event insurance and safety measures.
- Communicate rules to attendees.
- Cooperate with police and emergency services.
- Address unsafe behaviour promptly.
- Maintain relevant incident and event records.
Police notification does not constitute official endorsement, formal approval or an exemption from legal obligations.
10. Photography, Videos & Vehicle Profiles
Our platforms may display automotive photography, historical archives, motorsport footage and member-submitted vehicle content.
Publication does not automatically constitute endorsement of every activity depicted.
We do not knowingly publish material for the purpose of encouraging illegal street racing, dangerous driving or unlawful takeovers.
We may reject or remove submissions that promote unlawful activity or conflict with community safety standards.
Where relevant, legitimate motorsport activities should be identified as taking place at authorised venues or events.
11. Games & Interactive Experiences
Our digital games and experiences may depict fictional racing, drifting, burnouts and other simulated vehicle activities.
These activities are presented solely for entertainment and must not be interpreted as encouragement to reproduce them on public roads.
Real-world competitions, rewards and promotional campaigns must not require or incentivise dangerous or unlawful driving.
12. Event Safety & Enforcement
Event organisers may take appropriate and lawful action against participants who breach these standards.
Actions may include:
- Verbal warnings and directions.
- Refusal of participation.
- Removal from an event where lawful.
- Bans from future events.
- Community account restrictions.
- Removal of promotional material.
- Reporting serious incidents to authorities.
Immediate threats to safety should be reported to emergency services.
Read the Event Safety, Insurance & Participation Notice for community car meets and static displays.
13. Event-Specific Conditions
Different activities involve different legal and operational requirements.
Static displays, car meets, organised cruises, track days, drifting events, passenger rides and competitions may require separate permits, insurance, safety procedures, participation agreements or waivers.
The requirements applicable to each event will be communicated where necessary.
14. Policy Scope & Legal Status
This policy establishes our community expectations and general safety standards.
It does not replace applicable laws, event approvals, insurance requirements, contractual agreements or legal duties.
Any event-specific liability waiver must be appropriately prepared and accepted as part of the relevant participation agreement.
This policy may be amended as legal requirements and operational circumstances change.
RESPECT THE CARS. RESPECT THE COMMUNITY. SAVE IT FOR THE TRACK.
